Redefining Outpatient Recovery

Valley Spring Recovery Center delivers compassionate, evidence-based addiction and mental health treatment through a progressive model designed to restore independence — one stage at a time.

A Whole-Person Approach to Recovery

Valley Spring Recovery Center was founded on a simple belief: addiction treatment should treat the whole person, not just the substance. Located at 830 Broadway in Norwood, New Jersey, we provide structured outpatient care that addresses the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of recovery.

Our progressive 4-stage model — Restore, Activate, Accelerate, Thrive — guides every client from stabilization through lasting independence, all within one unified team. You will never have to start over with unfamiliar faces or rebuild trust at a new facility. From your first day in Partial Care to your years as an alumni member, you are part of the Valley Spring family.

We are redefining traditional treatment approaches to provide real, personalized solutions that meet the unique needs of every patient. Through a safe, supportive environment, innovative clinical staff, and individualized care, we help our patients break free from addiction and mental health challenges, reclaim their purpose, and become healthy, thriving members of society.

"Recovery requires biological rehab, not just abstinence. We're rewiring the brain through neuroplasticity and pathway repair — restoring the brain, not just removing the substance."

The 4-Stage Progressive Recovery Model
Advancement through our program is never automatic. It is based on measurable clinical progress, functional improvement, and individual readiness for independence — evaluated case by case.
1

Restore

Partial Care (PHP)

Stabilize mind, body, and soul. 6-hour days, Mon-Sat, with small process groups, psychoeducation, health & wellness, and daily catered meals. Build the foundation for everything that follows.

2

Activate

IOP (5-Day & 3-Day)

Transition from treatment to independence. Evening sessions fit around work and family. Process groups, life skills, psychoeducation, and real-world skill building in a supportive community.

3

Accelerate

Virtual IOP / Outpatient

Maintain momentum with flexible virtual programming. Dedicated remote staff deliver relapse prevention, ongoing wellness support, and continued clinical guidance as you build sustainable independence.

4

Thrive

Alumni Program

Family for life. Monthly alumni meetings, quarterly outings, speaker series, peer mentorship, and community service. Recovery does not end at discharge — it thrives in community.

Why Families Choose Valley Spring
Our approach goes far beyond standard outpatient treatment. Every element of our program is designed to produce lasting, measurable recovery outcomes.

Progressive 4-Stage Model

Step through Restore, Activate, Accelerate, and Thrive — all within one unified team. No transfers, no starting over. Advancement is based on measurable clinical progress.

8:1 Therapist-to-Patient Ratio

Small, intimate process groups with fewer than 10 people. Personalized caseloads and weekly treatment team matching ensure the right therapist for every client.

Health & Wellness 5 Pillars

Sleep, Movement, Trauma-Informed Regulation, Psychoeducation, and Medication Literacy. A neuroscience-informed program featuring one of only 10 sleep specialists in New Jersey.

Structured Life Skills Curriculum

Five pillars: Community, Wellness, Stability, Relationships, and Purpose. We address the real reasons people relapse — financial stress, broken relationships, isolation, and lack of purpose.

Evening IOP for Working Professionals

All IOP sessions run 6PM-9PM so you never have to choose between treatment and livelihood. Dedicated case managers handle FMLA, disability, and employer communication.

Together We Heal Family Program

A 6-session, 6-month family workshop open to the public. Led by a facilitator with lived experience, covering addiction education, boundaries, codependency, relapse prevention, and family healing.

Six Principles That Guide Everything We Do
These are not aspirational statements. They are the standards by which we hire, evaluate, and hold every team member accountable — every single day.
01

Integrity First

We do the right thing, no matter what. Clinical decisions are never influenced by external pressures — only by what is best for the patient.

02

Relentless Work Ethic

We work tirelessly to better our patients' lives. Recovery demands effort from everyone involved, and our team leads by example.

03

Service Over Self

We serve each other and our clients with humility and care. The mission is always bigger than any individual.

04

Respect Always

We treat everyone with dignity and value every perspective. From the first phone call to the alumni meeting, every person is treated as a person first.

05

Purpose-Driven Excellence

We work with intention and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Every program element exists for a clinical reason, not tradition.

06

Team Above Ego

Collaboration and unity guide our success. Our weekly treatment team meetings ensure every voice is heard and every client gets the right match.

Our clinical quality is validated by independent national organizations and recognized by the communities we serve.
