Bergen County Partnerships

Rooted in Community,
Committed to Recovery

Valley Spring Recovery Center believes lasting recovery is built through connection. Our outreach team works hand-in-hand with Bergen County organizations, families, and community leaders to break stigma, educate, and expand access to evidence-based treatment.

Our Mission: Recovery Beyond the Clinic

At Valley Spring Recovery Center, we understand that addiction does not exist in isolation. It touches families, workplaces, schools, and entire communities. That is why our commitment extends far beyond our clinic doors at 830 Broadway in Norwood.

Our dedicated outreach team works to build bridges between those who need help and the resources that can change their lives. Through education, partnership, and direct community engagement, we are dismantling the barriers that prevent individuals from seeking treatment.

From presenting at local school boards to collaborating with Bergen County first responders, our approach is rooted in the belief that a well-informed community is the strongest foundation for lasting recovery. Every conversation, every partnership, and every educational session moves us closer to a Bergen County where no one faces addiction alone.

"Recovery happens not just in treatment rooms, but in communities that understand, support, and refuse to look away."

Real Stories, Real Impact

Community Impact

School Partnership

Bringing Awareness to Bergen County Schools

Through our partnership with local school districts, Valley Spring's outreach team delivered substance use prevention workshops to over 1,200 students across Bergen County. These sessions equipped young people with the knowledge to recognize warning signs in peers and themselves, and provided school counselors with direct referral pathways to our clinical team.

"The Valley Spring team didn't just lecture — they listened. Our students felt heard, and our counselors finally had a clear path to connect families with real help."
— Bergen County School Counselor
Family Support

Connecting Families to Resources

When a Norwood family discovered their adult child was struggling with opioid dependence, they had nowhere to turn. Through a Bergen Resource Net referral, they connected with Valley Spring's outreach team. Within 48 hours, their loved one was enrolled in our Partial Care program, and the family began participating in our family education sessions.

"We were lost. The outreach team didn't just point us to treatment — they walked us through every step. That kind of care changes everything."
— Bergen County Family Member
First Responder Training

Equipping Those on the Front Lines

Valley Spring partnered with Bergen County emergency services to deliver specialized training on addiction response and de-escalation. Our clinical staff provided first responders with practical frameworks for identifying substance use crises, administering immediate support, and connecting individuals with treatment facilities rather than solely relying on emergency room interventions.

"Having a treatment center that actively trains alongside first responders — that's how you build a real safety net for a community."
— Bergen County First Responder
