Valley Spring's Together We Heal — Family Workshop provides structured, 1.25-hour daily treatment for individuals transitioning from inpatient care. Intimate groups, evidence-based therapies, and whole-person wellness — 6 sessions over 6 months in Norwood, NJ.
"The PHP program gave me the structure I needed after leaving residential treatment. The small group sizes made all the difference — I actually felt heard."
"Valley Spring's team helped me with everything — my FMLA paperwork, housing, even connecting me with sober living. They went above and beyond."
"The wellness component — yoga, sound baths, ice baths — really set this apart. It wasn't just talk therapy. They treated the whole person."
PHP is the first stage of Valley Spring's 4-stage progressive recovery model — Open to Public & Families. This level of care is for fragile, high-risk individuals who need stabilization within a supportive, structured environment.
You'll attend 1.25 hours of programming per session, 6 sessions over 6 months, working closely with a tight-knit clinical team. Groups are kept intentionally small — under 10 people — so you'll never feel lost in the crowd.
Evidence-based modalities include CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, experiential therapy, and trauma counseling. If medication-assisted treatment is appropriate, our medical team manages Suboxone, Vivitrol, Brixadi, Naltrexone, and Topamax.
Smaller caseloads mean more individual attention, faster rapport, and clinical plans tailored specifically to your situation.
Our small group model ensures you're heard — not just another face in a crowded room. Every voice matters in every session.
Valley Spring meets the highest national standards for quality, safety, and outcomes. CARF accreditation is voluntary — we chose it because we believe in accountability.
Our medical team manages Suboxone, Vivitrol, Brixadi, Naltrexone, and Topamax — the full range of medication-assisted treatments for opioid and alcohol use disorders.
CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, experiential therapy, and trauma counseling — delivered by licensed clinicians, not interns.
Sleep, Movement, Trauma Regulation, Education, and Medication Literacy — a holistic framework that treats the whole person, not just the addiction.
One of only 10 sleep specialists in New Jersey is on our clinical team — because quality sleep is foundational to recovery.
FMLA, short-term disability, return-to-work letters, court coordination, housing referrals — we handle the logistics so you can focus on healing.
Step down from PHP to IOP to OP to Alumni without ever changing teams. One clinical staff, one treatment plan, continuous care.
We partner with premium sober living facilities for patients who need safe, structured housing during their PHP stay.
Located in Norwood, NJ — just 20 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. Accessible from all of Bergen County and the NYC metro area.
Within the first 72 hours, your clinical team completes a full biopsychosocial assessment. We evaluate your medical needs, mental health history, substance use patterns, and social supports. A personalized treatment plan is built from day one — not a cookie-cutter template.
The core of your PHP experience. Through small process groups, individual therapy, and psychoeducational sessions, you develop practical coping skills, emotional regulation techniques, and relapse prevention strategies. Our Health & Wellness 5 Pillars framework addresses sleep, movement, trauma regulation, education, and medication literacy.
As stability increases, treatment shifts toward applying your new skills in real-world situations. Elective groups let you choose topics that matter to you. Case management handles your external responsibilities — FMLA paperwork, housing, court coordination — so recovery stays the priority.
After 6 months, your treatment team evaluates your progress during Wednesday clinical meetings. When you're ready, you step down to Intensive Outpatient (IOP) — the same clinical team, the same facility, a lower intensity. No starting over. Just moving forward.
