Chapter One — Leadership

The Minds Guiding
Your Recovery

HI
Henry Iwuala
Clinical Director

Henry Iwuala oversees every clinical program at Valley Spring Recovery Center — from Partial Care to both IOP tracks and beyond. Under his direction, the clinical team delivers individualized treatment plans built around each patient's unique circumstances, not cookie-cutter protocols. Henry's leadership philosophy is simple: meet every person where they are, then walk alongside them. It's a philosophy that shapes every group session, every biopsychosocial assessment, and every treatment team meeting held each Wednesday.

His oversight ensures that programming remains responsive, evidence-based, and deeply human — the kind of care that earns CARF accreditation and a #1 Best of NJ ranking year after year.

Chapter Four — Our Values

The Principles That
Guide Every Step

These aren't words on a wall. They're the non-negotiable standards every team member lives by — in every session, every interaction, every decision.

Integrity First
We do what's right even when no one is watching. Honest assessments, transparent communication, and clinical decisions that always put the patient first — not the bottom line.
Relentless Work Ethic
Recovery doesn't keep business hours, and neither do we. Our team brings the same intensity to a Wednesday treatment meeting as they do to a Friday afternoon crisis. Every patient deserves our best, every time.
Service Over Self
This work isn't about us. It's about the person sitting across the table who took the hardest step they'll ever take by walking through our door. Every decision, every protocol, every late night — it serves them.
Respect Always
Addiction doesn't discriminate, and neither does our care. Every person who enters Valley Spring — regardless of background, history, or circumstances — is treated with dignity and unconditional positive regard.
Purpose-Driven Excellence
CARF accreditation. #1 Best of NJ. A+ BBB. These aren't marketing trophies — they're proof that our commitment to clinical excellence isn't aspirational. It's measurable, auditable, and real.
Team Above Ego
No one at Valley Spring works in isolation. Therapists consult with case managers. Coordinators loop in psychiatrists. The Wednesday treatment team meeting exists because the best outcomes come from collective intelligence, not individual heroics.
