COMMUNITY
OUTREACH

Recovery doesn't happen in isolation. We show up for Bergen County — in schools, shelters, courtrooms, and community centers — because healing requires a village.

Our Commitment

We believe that addiction is not a personal failure — it's a community crisis that demands a community response. Valley Spring exists not just to treat individuals, but to transform the conversation around substance use in Bergen County and beyond.

Under the leadership of Brian Cellary — NCADD Businessman of the Year — and Director of Community Outreach James Sands, our team brings recovery resources directly to the people and organizations who need them most. From municipal partnerships to school education programs, we meet our community where it is.

01
Initiative

Community Education & Prevention

Our outreach team delivers evidence-based presentations to schools, civic organizations, and faith communities across Bergen County. We break down the stigma around addiction and mental health — educating families on warning signs, intervention strategies, and the science of recovery before crisis strikes.

02
Initiative

First Responder & Municipal Partnerships

We partner with local police departments, EMS, and municipal courts to create warm handoff pathways from crisis to care. When someone encounters the system at their lowest point, Valley Spring ensures there's a direct line to treatment — not just a pamphlet and a phone number.

03
Initiative

Recovery Support & Sober Living Navigation

Recovery doesn't end at discharge. Our community outreach connects individuals and families with sober living resources, mutual aid groups, alumni networks, and ongoing support services throughout northern New Jersey. We help build the scaffolding that keeps recovery standing.

04
Initiative

Healthcare & Provider Collaboration

We maintain active referral relationships with hospitals, primary care physicians, therapists, and psychiatric practices across Bergen County. Our clinical team collaborates directly with referring providers to ensure seamless continuity of care and coordinated treatment planning.

05
Initiative

Employer & Workplace Wellness Programs

Through our Bergen County Chamber of Commerce membership, we provide workplace wellness consultations, EAP coordination, and employee education sessions. We help businesses understand addiction as a health issue — and equip HR teams with the tools to respond with compassion and compliance.
