Regulate, rebuild, and reinforce. Our highest level of outpatient care provides intensive daily clinical structure for individuals stepping down from inpatient or needing immediate stabilization.
Alumni Program is Valley Spring's highest level of outpatient treatment. You attend Varies hours per day, Ongoing, receiving the most intensive clinical structure available outside of residential care. The program is built for individuals who are fragile, high-risk, or stepping down from inpatient treatment and need intensive daily support to stabilize.
Your care includes individual therapy one to two times per week, a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, and ongoing case management beginning within 72 hours. Every Wednesday, your full treatment team meets to review your progress and adjust your plan. Process groups are kept small — fewer than 10 people — to ensure you receive focused clinical attention.
Ongoing, Monthly + quarterly events. Each day follows a structured clinical sequence designed to maximize therapeutic engagement.
Our clinical team draws from multiple evidence-based modalities to build an individualized treatment plan for every client. Your therapy is never one-size-fits-all — it evolves as you progress.
For clients with opioid or alcohol use disorders, our medical team offers medication-assisted treatment as a clinically integrated component of your recovery plan. All medications are managed by our licensed physicians and monitored throughout your time in the program.
Available medications include Suboxone, Vivitrol, Brixadi, Naltrexone, and Topamax. Your medical team will determine the right option based on your history, current needs, and recovery goals.
Recovery is not just clinical work. Our Health & Wellness programming is built on five pillars and runs daily from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Activities rotate throughout the week to give you exposure to multiple modalities that support long-term recovery beyond the clinical setting.
Available wellness programming includes nutrition education, yoga, sound baths, gym access, ice baths, stretching, mindfulness meditation, guided hiking, reiki, and music therapy. These are not add-ons — they are core components of your treatment plan.
Your case manager begins working within 72 hours of admission, addressing the real-world logistics that can derail recovery if left unresolved. Case management is not a side service — it is fully integrated into your treatment plan.
Services include FMLA paperwork and disability documentation, return-to-work planning and employer communication, court and DUI compliance coordination, and housing referrals and placement support. Every barrier you face outside of treatment is addressed inside of it.
Your first days in PHP are focused on clinical assessment and immediate stabilization. We complete a comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation, begin your individualized treatment plan, and initiate case management within 72 hours. If MAT is appropriate, your medical team starts medication management immediately. The goal is to create a safe clinical foundation from which all other therapeutic work can build.
With your treatment plan established, you move into full daily clinical engagement. Process groups, psychoeducation, individual therapy, and Health & Wellness programming work together to address the root causes of your addiction or mental health condition. Your treatment team meets every Wednesday to evaluate your progress and adjust your plan as needed. This is the core therapeutic phase — where the real work happens.
As you stabilize and build momentum, the focus shifts toward practical skill development. Coping strategies learned in therapy are applied to real-world situations. Case management addresses return-to-work planning, family dynamics, and legal obligations. Elective therapies — from yoga and meditation to music and art therapy — help you discover sustainable recovery practices you can carry beyond treatment.
Before you complete PHP, your treatment team builds a comprehensive step-down plan. Most clients transition to our IOP program, which meets in the evenings and allows you to resume daily responsibilities. Your therapist, case manager, and medical team coordinate to ensure continuity of care. You are never discharged without a clear path forward — and our Alumni Program provides lifelong support after formal treatment ends.
