Our highest level of outpatient care for alcohol addiction. Daily structure includes small process groups under 10 people, psychoeducational sessions, health and wellness programming, catered lunch, and elective groups. Ideal for individuals transitioning from inpatient or residential treatment.

Intensive Outpatient — 5-Day (IOP)

Mon-Fri, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Evening intensive therapy designed for working professionals, parents, and students who need clinical rigor without disrupting daytime responsibilities. Process groups, psychoeducation, life skills, and health and wellness programming.

Intensive Outpatient — 3-Day (IOP)

3 days/week (client selects), 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Step-down from the 5-Day IOP with the same clinical curriculum. You select your three days. Continue CBT, DBT, relapse prevention, and group therapy while building the independence skills that sustain long-term sobriety.

Virtual IOP Program

3 days/week, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Fully remote

Same clinical quality as in-person IOP, delivered through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Dedicated virtual therapists, case managers, and psychiatric professionals. Process groups, psychoeducation, and individual therapy from anywhere.

Outpatient Program (OP)

1-2 days/week | Virtual

Final stage before alumni. Individual sessions and ongoing monitoring as you transition to fully independent living. Direct admissions accepted case-by-case for individuals who do not require intensive programming.

Monthly meetings + community events

Alcohol Treatment FAQ.

Do you offer medical detox for alcohol?

No. Valley Spring is an outpatient facility. We do not provide inpatient detox. If you require medical detoxification, we can refer you to a trusted detox partner. Once medically cleared, you can transition directly into our Partial Care or IOP programs.

What medications do you use for alcohol addiction?

We offer FDA-approved medications including Vivitrol (injectable naltrexone), oral Naltrexone, and Topamax. These medications reduce cravings and block the rewarding effects of alcohol. Dr. Olla, our medical director, manages all MAT prescriptions. We do not use Methadone, which is only for opioid use disorder.

How long does the alcohol treatment program last?

Treatment length varies by individual need. Partial Care (PHP) typically runs 4-6 weeks before stepping down to IOP. IOP programs run 8-12 weeks. Total time in treatment, from PHP through alumni, averages 3-6 months. Your treatment team adjusts the timeline based on your progress.

Can I keep working while in treatment?

Yes. Our IOP programs run in the evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM specifically so working adults, parents, and students can maintain their daily responsibilities. Virtual IOP adds geographic flexibility. Many clients in PHP also maintain part-time work.

Do you treat alcohol and mental health together?

Absolutely. The majority of our clients present with co-occurring conditions. We are licensed for both substance use disorder and mental health treatment. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other conditions are treated simultaneously, not in sequence.

What does a typical day in PHP look like?

PHP runs Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A typical day includes small process groups (under 10 people), psychoeducational sessions, health and wellness programming, a catered lunch, and elective groups. Individual therapy sessions are scheduled throughout the week.
