Growing Stronger
Communities Together

Recovery doesn't happen in isolation. At Valley Spring, we plant seeds of hope across Bergen County through education, partnership, and hands-on community engagement that helps families and individuals find their path to healing.

Our Guiding Mission

Seeds of Change

Every garden begins with a single seed. At Valley Spring Recovery Center, we believe that lasting recovery grows from community -- from neighbors supporting neighbors, businesses opening doors, and professionals reaching across boundaries to help those in need. Our outreach team works tirelessly to cultivate an environment across Bergen County where seeking help is met with compassion, not stigma, and where every person touched by addiction knows they are not alone.

A Garden of Community Programs

Each initiative is a living branch of our mission -- growing outward to reach more families, educate more professionals, and break down the barriers to recovery.

Community Education Workshops

Free seminars at local libraries, schools, and community centers educating Bergen County residents on substance use disorders, mental health warning signs, Narcan training, and how to support a loved one in recovery.

Employer Partnership Program

Working with Bergen County businesses to create recovery-friendly workplaces, provide employee assistance referrals, and develop policies that support team members navigating treatment and re-entry into the workforce.

First Responder Outreach

Specialized training sessions for local police, EMTs, and firefighters on recognizing substance use emergencies, de-escalation techniques, and warm handoff protocols to connect individuals directly with treatment.

School Prevention Programs

Age-appropriate presentations at Bergen County middle and high schools covering substance abuse prevention, mental health awareness, coping skills, and pathways to help for students and their families.

Recovery Speaker Bureau

Coordinating alumni and recovery advocates who share personal stories of transformation at community events, faith organizations, and civic gatherings -- putting a human face on addiction and breaking down stigma.

24/7 Resource Navigation

Our outreach team is always available to connect individuals and families with the right level of care -- whether that is our programs, another facility, support groups, housing resources, or crisis intervention services.

The Team Cultivating Change

Our outreach leaders bring decades of combined experience in addiction services, community development, and advocacy to Bergen County.
