I was terrified to make the call. I must have picked up the phone five times before I actually dialed. But the person who answered was so kind, so patient. Within an hour, I had a plan. Within 24 hours, I was sitting in my first group session. They made the impossible feel possible.
We designed our admissions process to be fast, compassionate, and barrier-free. Most patients begin treatment within 24 hours of their first call.

📅 Within 24 hoursYou start your program — same day or next day. Whether that's Partial Care, IOP, Virtual IOP, or our Mental Health program, from day one you're surrounded by a clinical team that knows your name and is invested in your recovery.
🌱 Same day or next day startYour intake day is designed to feel like a welcome, not a procedure. Here's exactly what you can expect from the moment you arrive at 830 Broadway in Norwood.
Our Program Coordinators, Ron Lopez and Cameron Kennedy, meet every new patient at the door. Before any paperwork, before any assessments — they sit with you, learn your name, hear your story, and make sure you feel safe. That's our culture: people first, always.
Ron or Cameron walks you through our treatment spaces, group rooms, and common areas. You'll see where therapy happens, meet some of the staff, and get a feel for the environment. Our Norwood facility is in a discrete standalone building with private parking.
We walk you through consent forms, rights and responsibilities, and intake documentation. Our team stays with you to explain everything — no one hands you a clipboard and walks away. We also complete a urine drug screening during this time.
A licensed therapist or case manager conducts a thorough biopsychosocial assessment — approximately one hour. This covers your history, current challenges, goals, and support systems. It's the foundation of your personalized treatment plan.
Based on your assessment, the clinical team determines your recommended level of care — Partial Care (PHP), IOP 5-Day, IOP 3-Day, Virtual IOP, or our Mental Health program. You'll understand exactly why a specific program is right for you and what your weekly schedule will look like.
Every recovery story begins with a single brave moment. These people were exactly where you are now.
I called at 11 PM on a Wednesday, completely broken. The person on the other end didn't rush me. She listened for twenty minutes. By Friday morning, I was starting Partial Care. That call saved my life.
My biggest fear was the insurance process. I thought I'd be fighting with my carrier for weeks. Valley Spring handled everything. They verified my coverage the same day I called and told me exactly what I'd owe. Zero stress.
Cameron met me at the front door on my first day. He shook my hand, told me his name, and asked about mine. Not "what brings you here" — just my name. That small thing meant everything. It told me I wasn't a case number. I was a person.
