What to Expect on Intake Day

Your first visit is designed to feel welcoming, not clinical. Here is what happens when you walk through our doors.

You are greeted as a person, not a patient number. When you arrive at our Norwood, NJ facility, Program Coordinators Ron or Cameron will meet you at the door. Their first priority is getting to know you, not handing you a stack of paperwork.

After introductions, you will receive a tour of the facility followed by an orientation to the program structure, expectations, and your rights and responsibilities. We take the time to walk you through everything so there are no surprises.

Your therapist or case manager will then conduct a biopsychosocial assessment — a comprehensive conversation lasting approximately one hour that covers your history, needs, and goals. This assessment shapes your individualized treatment plan.

Based on the assessment, you will be placed into the appropriate level of care — Partial Care, IOP 5-Day, or IOP 3-Day — and your start date will be confirmed.

Intake Day Checklist
Meet & Greet — Program Coordinators welcome you and make you comfortable
Facility Tour — See group rooms, therapy spaces, and common areas
Orientation & Paperwork — Consent forms, rights, responsibilities, program overview
Urine Drug Screening — Standard clinical protocol for baseline assessment
Biopsychosocial Assessment — ~1 hour comprehensive evaluation with a therapist or case manager
Level of Care Determination — Placed into Partial Care, IOP5, or IOP3 based on clinical need
