Valley Spring Recovery Center is more than a workplace. We are a CARF-accredited clinical team of 19+ professionals transforming addiction and mental health treatment across Bergen County. If you believe recovery requires both clinical rigor and genuine compassion, we want to hear from you.
We are not a factory. We are a close-knit clinical team doing the most meaningful work of our careers.
Valley Spring Recovery Center was built on a simple conviction: that the best outcomes happen when clinicians have the time, resources, and autonomy to treat people as individuals. Our 8:1 therapist-to-patient ratio is not a marketing line — it is a staffing decision that shapes every hour of every clinical day.
We operate a 4-stage progressive model — Restore, Activate, Accelerate, Thrive — that follows patients from their most vulnerable moments in Partial Care through independent alumni life. That continuity of care means our team members do not just stabilize patients. They walk alongside them through months of transformation, seeing the results of their work in real time.
Our Health and Wellness program integrates five clinical pillars — Sleep, Movement, Trauma-Informed Nervous System Regulation, Psychoeducation, and Medication Literacy — into daily treatment. We employ one of only ten sleep specialists in New Jersey. Our Life Skills curriculum addresses the real-world triggers behind relapse: financial stress, relationship conflict, isolation, and purposelessness.
This is not a workplace where clinicians burn out running through checklists. This is a place where your expertise drives the treatment plan, and where the results are visible.
Small, intimate caseloads that allow for personalized, high-quality treatment
Progressive model means staff see patients through the full arc of recovery
Holistic approach integrating sleep science, movement, nervous system regulation

What it looks like when clinical expertise meets genuine community.
Every Wednesday, our full clinical staff gathers to review caseloads, match therapists to clients based on specializations, and ensure every patient is getting the best possible care. These are not box-checking meetings — they shape real treatment decisions.
Our Community Outreach team, led by James Sands and Brian Cellary, builds relationships across Bergen County. From the Chamber of Commerce to Bergen Resource Net, we are deeply embedded in the community we serve.
Our 5-pillar Health and Wellness program is not an add-on. It runs daily at 1:00 PM during Partial Care — yoga, sound baths, movement circuits, hiking, mindfulness, and reiki are integrated into the clinical framework.
Monthly meetings, quarterly outings to professional sports, bowling, escape rooms, and community service projects. Many alumni return to work within Valley Spring's housing programs — that continuity is unique in the industry.
A 6-session, 6-month family workshop open to the public. Staff facilitate conversations about addiction, boundaries, codependency, and family healing. It is some of the most impactful work we do.
These are not wall decorations. They inform hiring decisions, clinical protocols, and how we show up every day.
We do the right thing, no matter what. Clinical decisions are never driven by convenience.
We work to better our patients' lives. Every session, every interaction counts.
We serve each other and our clients with humility and care. Ego has no place here.
We treat everyone with dignity and value every perspective — patients, families, colleagues.
We work with intention and hold ourselves to a high standard in all we do.
Collaboration and unity guide our success. The best outcomes are always collective.
